In order to enjoy the benefits of the spa tub properly and for long it is important that you keep the spa tub clean and hygienic. Cleaning your spa tub is not an easy task, however; cleaning it regularly keeps it beautiful and safe. Here are a few tips for cleaning your spa tub inside out.
Step 1
There are many jet cleaning chemicals available in the market that you can apply to the spa water before draining and letting it circulate through the jets. This will clean out the pipes and equipment. This only needs to be done every 3 years or so.
Step 2
Drain your spa tub completely.
Step 3
Wipe down the spa to clean any residual. Vinegar or denatured alcohol is a good cleaning choice for the spa’s surface.
To properly clean the acrylic surface, wipe the surface with a soft damp cloth (or sponge) using soap or liquid detergent. DO NOT USE any cleaning products that can dull the brilliant surface. Make sure that any harsh chemicals are not used on acrylic surfaces.
Step 4
Refill your spa. While you refill it, remember to turn your thermostat all the way to “Cold” or minimum and leave it there until after the spa is filled. Make sure that all of your pumps/jets or bathroom faucets are working properly. Turn your thermostat back to the desired setting.
Step 5
Follow the directions in your Operation & Care Guide regarding what chemicals to add. You can always consult your spa tub manufacturer regarding the chemicals and cleaning process.
Step 6
Balance the Alkalinity and pH of your spa water as quickly as possible. This can take a few days to complete.
Step 7
Now it's time that you can enjoy your spa!
Hopefully, this will help you to clean and maintain your hot tub. You can always contact the spa tub manufacturer for proper servicing of the spa tub.
